The following is a listing of all personnel in our database, assigned to Detachment A-442 (Tan Chau/Phu Quoc/To Chau (new)). Narrative Information: A composite detachment of PCS personnel took over the Tan Chau camp from A1/311, 1st SFG(A). It was redesignated A-428 and reported to B-42 in Chau Doc. Tan Chau was located in Tan Chau District, Chau Doc Province. Tan Chau was closed (turned over to RF/PF?) o/a 01/01/67 to join A-424 in an operation on Phu Quoc Island. The team was redesignated A-442 and reported to a newly formed B-44 on Phu Quoc Island.When that B Detachment was closed (o/a 06/15/68), A-442 opened a camp at To Chau (new) o/a 02?/01/68. It either remained as A-442 or became a part of the 4th CTZ Mike Force. The To Chau camp appears to have been co-located with the 3rd MSF Battalion. To Chau was converted to 66th Border Rangers o/a 08/30/70. To Chau was located in ? District, Kien Giang Province.
